BUSIEST WEEK OF THE YEAR FOR A NATION OF BAKERS, INCLUDING LOCAL COMPANY CONTEMPORARY CAKE DESIGNS

As the Great British Bake Off hits TV screens across the country, local cake makers Bee and Xavier Pelloux of Contemporary Cake Designs are experiencing summer madness ordering 408 local eggs for just one week of orders!

Cheltenham based Contemporary Cake Designs is smack bang in the middle of their busiest time and this week alone, the talented pair will have made 29 tiers of cake, 35 individual cakes, 350 macaroons, 85 portions of Pao de lo, 180 sweet filled tarts, 108 individual desserts all on top of the cakes they make for the local farmers market every other week. To be able to produce this long list of orders they have had to get 408 eggs delivered not to mention flour, butter and icing sugar!

As the nation’s love of cakes continues, this trend is simply set to go on, with Bee & Xavier confirming their busiest year on record!
