Expectations! AWR Event

Background

Expectations Recruitment Services was a Cheltenham based recruitment agency specialising in providing both temporary and permanent recruitment solutions within Gloucestershire.

Objectives

To make Expectations’ clients – and indeed all employers – aware of the AWR legislation which came in to force on 1st October 2011 and how it impacts on companies hiring temporary agency workers.

Actions

apt’s main priority was to confirm attendees for the seminar. We wrote and distributed invitation emailers, managed RSVPs coming in and sent out follow up emails. We represented Expectations at the registration desk on the day of the seminar, introducing attendees to the Expectations team. 

We were also involved with the logistics wherever we were needed, from sourcing equipment and managing the production of name badges for the Expectations team, to liaising with the venue.

Results

This HR-oriented seminar was well-attended by Expectations’ clients and extremely well-received; so much so that they are now a quarterly event. We also achieved local business press coverage in the lead up to the event.
