Lose weight, get fit, feel good!

It’s the age-old question women (and men) ask:  How can I eat food which tastes good and lose weight?

RFH Fitness has the solution.

Mel Richards, a former soldier and policeman set up RFH Fitness, a weight loss and wellbeing ‘bootcamp’ in Spain, with the intention of helping people lose weight, get fit and feel better about themselves.  No starving involved!  Suffering is thrown out in favour of a good diet along with a personalised, intensive and fun fitness boot camp in the sun.

Along with a structured and achievable exercise programme, RFH Fitness advocates that healthy eating is the best way to stay in shape.  Being set in the beautiful region of Andalucia, Spain, it is no surprise that the ‘Mediterranean diet’ is on the menu at RFH Fitness, and guests are never disappointed.

Each weight loss and fitness boot camp starts with a comprehensive health and fitness assessment including all the core criteria of a professional consultation such as metabolism, flexibility, heart rate, muscle mass and cardiovascular fitness.  At the end of the boot camp, guests can enjoy noticeable improvements in all of these areas - better still, the improvements will be sustainable.
An early morning Yoga or Pilates class is followed by breakfast, which includes a choice of porridge, muesli, eggs, tomatoes and fresh fruit.  Lunch would normally consist of salads and fresh soups.  Evening dinner is Andalucian and Mediterranean cuisine focusing on wholegrain carbohydrates, lean protein and lots of vegetables.
RFH Fitness uses its own qualified dietician, Pilar Fernandez Miranda.  Pilar will prepare a personalised nutrition plan based on the much vaunted ‘Mediterranean diet’, which is customised and tailored to individual metabolic requirements; a plan based on sound scientific principles, which takes account of activity levels and nutritional needs.  The nutrition plans produced by Pilar are realistic, healthy and sustainable and they supply the knowledge to change eating habits to benefit health - not just to lose weight and not just for now, but in the future too.  Pilar is a fully qualified pharmacist, with 9 years experience as a dietitian.  As well as working with clients of RFH Fitness, Pilar is a nutrition consultant to elite and amateur athletes and works with the local community as a consultant at the Nutrition Counseling Centre in Antequera.

The programmes designed by RFH Fitness are based on years of experience and training in the most effective methods of helping clients of all ages, shapes and sizes to get motivated and meet their own realistic fitness and weight-management goals.
