Furniture Turns to Gold for Sue Ryder

Cheltenham charity shop raises big money from local hotel refurb

The Wyastone in Parabola Road, recently decided to donate their old dining room furniture (5 square and 2 round tables, and about 50 chairs) to the Sue Ryder shop in lower high street, Cheltenham.

“The tables and chairs were bought from the shop the very day they were collected from us,” says Karen Reynolds owner of The Wyastone.  The rest of the furniture was sold in small lots through the shop raising £888.00 for the Sue Ryder charity that provides care to people living with long term and end of life conditions through homecare, hospice and residential services.

The Wyastone has bought brand new tables and chairs of a more contemporary style as part of a major refurbishment programme.
