apt saves the day for charity, IT Schools Africa

apt marketing and pr recently worked against the clock to save the day for Cheltenham based charity,  IT Schools Africa. The creative design team and marketing experts at apt were given the challenge to create an informative yet persuasive flyer to encourage health practitioners to donate to the charity and all of this had to be completed to a tight three day deadline!

IT Schools Africa is a registered charity that collects old computers, refurbishes them and sends them for use in African schools. To date, the charity has sent a record 20,000 computers, kitted out 1,000 schools with computer labs and trained over 600 teachers.

IT Schools Africa’s Director, Tim Barnes was full of praise for the work, saying: “I love the flyer, the apt graphic designer is quite a find, you guys are amazing, not only quick but really talented and we look forward to working with you again in the future.”

apt marketing and IT Schools Africa were put in touch through the Three Sector Match, a county-wide initiative which helps the private, public and voluntary sectors share skills and expertise. Now in its third year of operation, Three Sector Match has gone from strength to strength, launching this year in Cheltenham with the support of Cheltenham Borough Council.

Managing Director of apt, Angie Petkovic encourages other businesses in the county to get involved with charity work.
She says, “We were delighted to lend apt’s expertise to help Three Sector Match with their work for this charity; the help they provide to education in Africa is outstanding. Other local projects are in need of business partners and I would recommend anyone to get involved. There is definite job satisfaction knowing you have helped a worthwhile cause.”

apt is a keen supporter of Three Sector Match and has provided professional and dedicated assistance to various projects in the area such as Care and Repair in Stroud.
