LAKEFEST RELEASE DAY TICKETS WITH ONE WEEK TO GO

Lakefest has released day tickets with just one week to go until the local family friendly festival. A limited number of tickets are available with 150 being released for each festival day. Adult day tickets will be priced at £50 for Friday, £50 for Saturday and £40 for Sunday. Children under 10 will get in free and 11-15 year old tickets will be £5.

Lee Martin, Lakefest organiser said “We’ve had a lot of people asking whether we will be releasing day tickets so due to the high demand we have decided to release a limited amount of tickets for those who want to come along for a day instead of the whole weekend.  The tickets are limited so if people want to get their hands on one then they need to act quickly!  We are all extremely excited for the festival and I hope everyone has a fantastic time!”

Gates open for the weekend at Croft Farm Waterpark, Gloucestershire on Thursday 7th August at 2pm, entertainment and activities kick off on Friday 8th at 2pm until Sunday 10th at 8pm. Lakefest has kindly asked that all Lakefesters leave Croft Farm by 2pm on Monday 11th August.

This year’s festival has an outstanding line-up in place - including Shed Seven, Buzzcocks, Doctor & The Medics, The Lightning Seeds, Neville Staple, The Bad Shepherds, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and SNAP! The festival has been recognised for being family friendly, having been awarded silver at the Festivalkidz awards in 2013.  Lakefest has over 30 activities to keep younger visitors busy all weekend including dragon theatre, Glamba drumming workshop, pottery and “wheel throwing” just to name a few and the release of day tickets makes it the perfect day out for all the family!

Lakefest’s chosen charity this year is Acorns Children’s Hospice. The organisation provides care and support for life limited children and their families. Its three hospices around the Midlands rely on donations and sponsors for the majority of their income. This year at Lakefest there will be a ‘Lasting Memories of Lakefest’ time capsule planted in aid of Acorns Children’s Hospice. For a small donation people at the festival can write down their memories of the festival which will be put in the time capsule along with items suggested through Lakefest’s social media sites. The time capsule will be planted with Acorns on Sunday 10th August at 5.00pm.
