SERVING UP THE PERFECT COTSWOLD LUNCH RENDEZVOUS

The Mulberry Restaurant has just announced their good value, premium quality gourmet lunches that are sure to turn up the heat on the taste buds this summer! This summer, the Manor House Hotel’s acclaimed Mulberry restaurant in Moreton-in-Marsh has devised a stunning roll call of delicious monthly summer lunch menus that have been lovingly created to cater for the discerning client who still enjoys a 2 or 3 course lunch served in a restaurant environment rather than an on-the-run bar meal. Already a big hit with diners, the uplifting ambiance of The Mulberry is the perfect place to relax and enjoy lunchtime Cotswold cuisine at its best.
Devoted to food lovers, The Mulberry Restaurant is fortunate enough to have fresh ingredients within its own walled garden. These include the berries from the 300-year old mulberry tree, from which the restaurant gets its name, which are used to make jams and a special recipe Manor Cake. The berries are also combined with Bombay Sapphire, fresh mint, Pimms No1 and a splash of Elderflower cordial to make their signature Mulberry Cocktail. Local seasonal produce provides a wholesome base for a variety of dishes available on the lunch menu. Head Chef Andy Troughton comments, “We are keen to promote our countryside and farming, our kitchen brigade at The Mulberry walk the food chain from producer to plate to get an appreciation for quality, seasonality and accountability”.
Premium cuisine fused with exclusive wines and first-rate service, the elegant Mulberry Restaurant really is a must and is English cooking at its very best. It entertains an enviable level of sophistication and is the perfect place to ‘do lunch’ before getting out into that Cotswold sunshine!

Highlights: the centrepiece of the carefully tended gardens is a centuries-old mulberry tree; the hotel lounge, conference suite and 18 of the bedrooms have all been transformed with the ingenious use of modern fabrics and classic antiques.
Cotswold Inns and Hotels' design director and co-proprietor Pamela Horton modelled phase one of the Manor House Hotel's restoration programme on her own home. She says, joined by her husband Michael: "It has been our dream for the past 25 years to create an extremely special group of country house hotels in our beloved Cotswolds"
