The Inn At Fossebridge Event

Background:

The Inn at Fossebridge is a charming Georgian Cotswold retreat and traditional country pub set in the hamlet of Fossebridge with extensive gardens and a pretty riverside setting.

Objectives:

In addition to the ongoing public relations campaign, the idea of a Charity Christmas Fair was suggested by apt to bring together local producers, inviting them to exhibit at a Christmas Fair with a view to bringing new potential clientele into the hotel and achieve publicity around the Cotswolds, as well as raising money for the local charity, Hop, Skip and Jump. 

Actions:

Working with The Inn at Fossebridge, apt invited a number of successful businesses to exhibit at the fair and created the event poster which was distributed in the region and online. Prior to the event apt contacted the local newspapers and radio with press information, invited photographers to attend the event and contacted the director of Hop, Skip and Jump to inform the charity that the fair was taking place. The PR team at apt attended the fair, taking photographs of the stalls and demonstrations which could later be used on the Inn’s website.

Result:

The event was a great success. The Gloucestershire Echo and Citizen included details of the fair within its editorial pages and commissioned a photographer for the event, gaining substantial coverage for The Inn at Fossebridge with a half page editorial in the Saturday newspaper and coverage online. The Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard also used our press information to publicise the event. The fair raised over £460 for Hop, Skip and Jump and the fundraising efforts were documented on the charity’s website.
